In the summer of 2022 five of us headed over the Atlantic to Vancouver in the far west of Canada. We planned a route with a semi flexible itinerary, hired an excellent 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan and headed out on our way. Below you can find a how it we got on.
The Route
Our route was based on an excellent guide by Inafarawayland. We started in Vancouver, heading up route 99 past Whistler travelling over 3000km in a loop taking in Vernon, Revelstoke, Banff and Jasper.
The Wheels
Taking us on this amazing journey was the reliable beast of a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan. We hired this via an 'airbnb' type app called Turo, saving us a lot of money on hire car fees. Didn't have any problems with her, it was a typical shite American car that revved like hell and went nowhere with the cruise control accurate to within +/- 30kph. She did us well.
