Tenerife

After not having a proper holiday for six months, the constant bad weather and work stresses, I decided on a Tuesday to book a flight somewhere with decent weather, nice cycling roads and a decent hike. I flew on the Friday.

As usual I meticulously planned each day to the hour, which buses I needed, where I was going, hikes I was doing and cycle rides on offer.

I'm not going to go into too much detail, but my plan was to hike up to Mt Guajara on the Saturday, pick up a road bike on the Sunday, work from the apartment on Mon-Wed with some bike rides in the evening and fly back Wednesday night. It mostly went to plan, apart from getting really badly sunburnt from my hike, meaning my cycle ride on the Sunday was very short,.
